EMERGENCIES

Office Hours, Appointments and Emergencies

Office Hours and Appointments
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, including noon hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Appointments can be made from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Our office is closed the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We prefer to see people by appointment, and we will try to make it with the doctor of your choice. Occasionally, we can accommodate walk-in appointments.

Same-Day Appointments
We reserve a block of time for same-day appointments, as we know the frustration of having to wait weeks or even months for needed health care. Ask about this option when you call us.

For appointments requiring special preparation or larger blocks of time, such as annual physicals, we cannot offer same-day appointments.

After-Hours Appointments

We are not open Saturday, but we can make exceptions. After-hours appointments can be arranged when your doctor feels it is needed.

Emergencies
Our telephone is answered 24 hours a day. One of our doctors is always on call when the office is closed. If there is an emergency, please explain it to the operator (or nurse, if during office hours), and expect a return call from the doctor within 20 minutes.

If one of the following occurs, call 911 or go to the closest hospital emergency room immediately. Please contact our office as soon as possible to inform us.

What is an Emergency?
»Sudden trouble breathing
»Loss of consciousness
»Severe pain that interferes with breathing or walking
»Unexpected active bleeding
»Inability to walk, breath or eat after an accident

Sudden health changes can be frightening and seem dangerous, but don’t always represent a true emergency. If possible, please call us before going to the hospital, whatever the time of day or night. Some problems can be resolved by a trip to the office after hours instead of the emergency room. This also helps us stay “in the loop” with your treatment, and provide knowledgeable care based upon your health history with us.
