| An Established History of Care
In 1975, Drs.
Larry Rice and Paul Nelson opened the doors of Family Health
Care, P.C. in Northwest Omaha, providing families in the area
easy access to the finest in health care services. Over the
years, as more people discovered the benefits of FHC’s
personalized approach, the practice attracted other doctors
with similar values. Today, the practice offers services from
four medical doctors, a nurse practitioner, and a team of
six registered nurses.
Our
Services
FHC offers the services typically expected
from any professional health care provider: acute health care,
long-term health management, diagnostic services, acute care,
etc. We perform routine physicals, oversee childhood immunization
schedules, and administer flu shots and other preventive care.
FHC provides a wide range of diagnostic laboratory services,
because reliability is critical to excellent health care.
To this end, the Family Health Care clinic is CLIA-certified.
This special designation assures high laboratory standards,
and allows us to provide more lab diagnostics in-house --
with greater quality-assurance and faster diagnosis.
The Values that Define Us
The values that shape the style of practice
at FHC include community, quality, leadership, altruism and
dialogue. We strive to provide a caring relationship with
our patients, based on empathy, warmth, acceptance and honesty.
Because we value long-term
relationships and personalized health care, we take the time
to get to know our patients, one-on-one. This allows us to
explore ways to maintain health, promote wellness, manage
chronic conditions, and enhance the overall quality of life
for our patients and their families.
There is evidence that the quality of relationships in one’s
life is important in predicting their health. We wish to be
among the positive relationships in the lives of our patients,
and to provide not only acute health care, but a therapeutic
community supporting their lives in the larger world. |
